Intervalltraining 10.11.2015

Tonight I decided once again to stretch my legs during intervalltraining in the runninggroup.
The legs were still a bit heavy from sunday but that did not spoil the fun. Today it was raining with some wind but it felt quite warm.

At 19:00 we started the training with a group of 11 people or something.
We started Running for a warming up, this is usually 2-2.5 km.
Then it is always stretching followed by a training course, this was with trainer richard different than usual but made it enjoyable.

The real training began four sets of 1km. 250m-500m-250meter alternately sprinting and running interspersed with calm to return the heartbeat.

After the intervall went back towards the clubhouse, in between I went along with a runner still do a game to run extra mileage.

Arriving at the clubhouse was time for some stretching and bike home.

Closed the evening with 8.5 – 9 km

  1. I remember doing interval/speed work training when I was in Cross Country. It was always tiring! Sounds like you had a good training day though. I need to do more intervals and as I begin running more and training for the 5ks I’ve been signing up for I’ll be sure to add it to my routine!

      1. How exciting that must be! I’m moving as well, but not really because I want to sadly. More so because I have to! For now I just want to focus on not feeling so beat after running my 5ks eventually though and this might be for a race later in next year I would like to complete my 5ks with a 10/11 mile pace so about 31 minutes. Right now I’m at 40!

    1. Im going to divorce thats why im moving to the Appartement,it will be a big step.

But back to Running 🙂 .

I can recommend you to do a longer run for training in the next Programm.
1k warming up with some Stretching

1 minute at the tempo 6 minutes for 1k,followed by 30seconds at the tempo 8 minutes for 1k.

      2minutes fast ,1 minute slower
      3 minutes fast , 1,5 minute slower
      4minutes fast , 2 minutes slower
      5 minutes fast , 2,5 minutes slower

You can do this 3 times

After that 1 k cooling down ,followed by a good stretching
